Our gardening philosophy
Choose plants that are right for the site
Sunny? Shady? Sandy? Clay? Choosing the right plants for your conditions goes a long way to a successful garden.
Use no pesticides
Environmentally friendly ways of keeping damaging insects away should always be our first line of defence. Consider natural predators.
Plant native when possible
Native species help feed and house native fauna and have a much better chance of survival in our harsh climate.
Conserve Water
We used to say water was free. Not anymore. Water is not the endless resource we once thought it was.
Use chemical fertilizers as little as possible
Well, actually, you don’t really need to use them at all. Did I tell you about compost?
